Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: Occurs in most habitats, abundant in fringing vegetation of main river channels, and also caught in gillnets in open waters of main river channels and open lagoons (Tweddle et al. 2004). Feeds on insects and small organisms and occurs frequently in association with the similarly marked striped robber, Brycinus lateralis (Skelton 2001).
