Justification:
C. lemmingii is a rare species and its population has decreased by over 30% in the past 10 years. This decline is attributed to water extraction, drought, pollution and the introduction of fish predators. This decline is suspected to continue into the future. (Carmona, J. and Elvira, B. pers comm).
