| Habitat and Ecology: | This species is thought to be the largest member of the genus. It is reported to occur in both rocky and intermediate habitats. During the daytime it hides in small caves or sand-scrape nests beneath rocks. It feeds on sleeping cichlids and other fishes during the night. Max. size: 150 cm. |
