| Habitat and Ecology: | Occurs in the intermediate habitat at depths varying from 7–40 m. Its diet consists of benthic invertebrates (sand dwelling). Does not seem to have a permanent breeding territory therefore spawning may occur wherever a ripe female meets a male. Known as "Aulonocara Special", "Aulonocara Greenface " and "Aulonocara Green Metalic" in the aquarium trade. |
