Justification: This species is reported from the rivers Rantabe and Antanambalana and those other rivers flowing into Antongil Bay. Although its distribution is thought to be wider than this it qualifies as Vulnerable as it's extent of occurrence is less than 20,000 km² and is threatened by a continuing loss of habitat (deforestation of river catchments), leading to a further decline in extent of occurrence. |
